THE BASICS
Q. Who are your events for?
A. We want to be inclusive to everyone, but to come on a board gaming holiday you're probably already connected to the modern gaming hobby, or coming with friends that are? If you're really new, drop into Discord and have a chat, and we can make plans to help introduce you to people and gaming.
Q. What games can I play?
A. There will be a huge selection of board games available to play. Our guests bring games they want to play, and we have a library including many classics and a selection of the latest releases.
Q. But really, which specific games?
A. Check out the galleries for examples, or drop onto discord and have a chat. Really, there will be lots.
Q. How about roleplaying games (RPGs)?
A. Gamers need to game! Although we're not organising RPGs, Game Masters and their player groups are welcome to book to come and use table space.
Q. But Matt, this clashes with *other awesome event*.
A. We do our best not to bump anyone locally, and we encourage and support everyone's participation in similar events across the UK. But there are only so many weekends in a year. Everything clashes with something.

FBG: Torquay Questions
Q. When is the event?
A. The first event begins on 2nd Feb 2024. It's *likely* to be the first weekend in February in following years, but exact dates will be posted nearer the time.
Q. Where is the event being held?
A. At the TLH Leisure Resort in Torquay
Q. When do tickets to on sale?
A. Tickets are on sale! Book early to avoid dissapointment (10% non-refundable deposit required).
Q. How much is it to attend?
A. Inclusive Holiday Price for two nights £144 per person based on two people sharing. There are single rooms at this rate but they are likely to sell out fast. Doubles or Twin rooms for single occupancy will incur a +£20 per night suppliment, so book quickly or share with a friend. Extra Sunday Night +£40 per person.
Q. An extra Sunday night is cool, but what if I want to arrive on Thursday?
A. The resort has other events that end on Friday morning, so I can't commit to 'mission creep' and starting earlier this year. Yet.
Q. How do I buy tickets?
A. You will contact the booking team directly by phone to book your fully inclusive holiday.
Q. Do I have to pay the full price immediately?
A, No, a 10% deposit secures your place. The balance is due one full month before the holiday. You can pay sooner if you wish.
Q. Can I get a just a day ticket?
A. No, FBG events are fully residential unless otherwise clearly stated. We can help point you at your local clubs and one-day events all over the UK if you join our Discord.
Q. When are the gaming areas open?
A. From 3pm on Friday to Midday Sunday for regular guests, and to Midday Monday for guests staying Sunday night).
Q. What about late night gaming?
A. Main gaming areas will be open 24 hours. Play as late as you want. Please allow staff to tidy and clean around you. Play responsibly and we recommend you get some sleep!
Q. Tell me about the food?
A. 'Full English' and a varied breakfast buffet each morning, and all evening meals are a 3 course buffet dinner, including Tea & Coffee.
Q. And the food service times?
A. Breakfast from 8.00am - 9.45am. Dinner from 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
Q. Who is the retailer on site?
A. We're aiming to arrange a retail presence with Clifton Road Games of Exeter. It may develop into a store presence, or an order by 10am for same day delivery a couple of hours later kind of arrangement. Clifton Road Games is awesome and they do mail order too!
Q. Can I pre-order for collection?
A. Please contact Clifton Road Games and ask. They will do their best to help. But we're 13 months away - so don't do it just yet!
Q. What if I need to cancel?
A. Things happen and we understand. That's why we're only taking a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure your place. The balance is due one month before the event. The full cancellation policy can be found here.
